What the hub holds about you, where it lives, and how long it stays.

Who runs this

The hub is run by the Voicecraft network. For anything on this page — questions, corrections, requests — write to info@voicecraft.io.

What the hub holds

Your account: the email address you sign in with.

Your profile: what you choose to add — name, photo, headline, bio, interests, links, timezone, a shared email if you offer one.

What you write: posts and replies, direct messages, voice notes.

Sessions: which ones you say you'll attend, and which you attended.

Visits: which day you opened which area of the hub. The day only — no times, no reading trail.

Your notification settings, and — if you turn on push — a delivery address for each device you enable.

Billing, if you pay for membership through the hub: the subscription's status, amount, and renewal date, and the email address used to pay. Card details never reach the hub — Stripe holds them.

What the hub does not do

No advertising, no trackers, no third-party analytics. Nothing you do here is sold, profiled, or ranked.

Stewards cannot read direct messages. The database itself refuses them access, and an automated test suite checks that refusal on every change.

Recordings

Ordinary sessions are not recorded. A gathering is recorded only when its steward or pod decides, and recording is announced, never silent.

Where it lives

The hub runs on services that store data on its behalf:

• Supabase — the database and sign-in accounts.
• Vercel — the servers that render these pages.
• Cloudflare — stored media, and this site's routing.
• LiveKit — live video in rooms. Conversations pass through it and are not stored there.
• Resend — outgoing email.
• Stripe — membership payments. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and stay there.
• GitHub — the scheduled jobs that send reminders and take a nightly encrypted backup of the database.

Some of these providers process data in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

How long things stay

Your account, profile, and photo: for as long as you're a member. If your account is deleted, what you've written stays, without your name on it.

Billing records: kept after an account is deleted, no longer linked to it — financial records have a legal minimum retention.

Removed content: held 90 days in case the removal was a mistake, then deleted for good.

A deleted pod recording: held 30 days, then gone for good. An archived voice note: 30 days, then gone for good.

Visit records: 37 months, then deleted.

Backups: encrypted nightly copies of the database, kept for 30 days.

Your choices and rights

Notifications, email, and push are switches in your settings. Your name and profile are yours to edit.

You can ask for a copy of what the hub holds about you, ask for a correction, or ask for your account and its data to be deleted. Write to info@voicecraft.io — you'll have an answer within a month.

Cookies and storage on your device

Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary and track nothing.

The hub keeps a few settings in your browser rather than on the server: your theme (vc-theme), the notification sound switch (vc-notify-sound), whether you dismissed the install offer (vc-install-dismissed), and drafts of what you're writing. None of it leaves your device.

There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to: the hub sets no advertising or analytics storage.

Changes

This page changes when the hub does. The date at the top says when it last did.
